Sold here and nowhere else

Veloura is only sold on this site. If you find it on a marketplace, it did not come from us — and we cannot stand behind what is in the tube.

Description

A concentrated retinal treatment for skin that is starting to lose its firmness. Retinal 0.1% works alongside Matrixyl® 3000 at 3% and 1% Panthenol to soften the look of fine lines and support firmer, smoother-looking skin.

Lightweight, fast-absorbing gel. Formulated in Korea.

15 ml / 0.5 fl oz — small enough to travel with.

What makes it different

Three actives at strengths printed on the tube: Retinal 0.1%, Matrixyl® 3000 at 3%, and Panthenol 1%.

Underneath those sit ingredients most brands would put on the front of the pack: Niacinamide, Adenosine, Vitamin E and Vitamin C. We list all of them below rather than picking the flattering ones.

The retinal is carried in lecithin — encapsulated, so it stays stable in the tube and is released gradually on the skin rather than all at once.

Matrixyl® 3000 is the peptide pair Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7. It is a named, branded complex, not an unspecified “peptide blend”.

Formulated and made in Korea.

Ingredients

Actives: Retinal 0.1% · Matrixyl® 3000 at 3% · Panthenol 1%.

Also formulated with Niacinamide (sixth in the list below), Adenosine, and the antioxidants Vitamin E and Vitamin C. The retinal is carried in lecithin, which keeps it stable and releases it gradually.

How to use

Night use only.

New to vitamin A? Every other night for the first two weeks. Once your skin has settled, you can move to every evening.

A pea-sized amount, spread evenly over the face and neck. Avoid the immediate eye area, and wash your hands afterwards.

If it stings or flakes, use less and use it less often, and follow with a soothing moisturiser — do not push through it.

SPF 30 or higher the next morning, as the last step of your routine.

Read before using

A slight tingle on application is normal with an active at this strength. Stinging, burning or flaking is not — cut back if that happens.

If your skin is reactive, patch test on the jaw for a few nights first.

Do not use on the same night as an exfoliating acid or a second vitamin A product — including the Retinol Booster.

Avoid contact with the eyes. Wash your hands after applying.

Avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Store away from direct light and heat. For external use only.

HOW TO USE IT

Three steps, and one rule

  1. 1

    Clean, dry skin. At night.

A pea-sized amount across the face and neck after cleansing, avoiding the immediate eye area. Wash your hands afterwards. Night use only.

  2. 2

    Build up slowly

Every other night for the first two weeks. Once your skin has settled, move to every evening. If it stings or flakes, use less and less often — do not push through it.

  3. 3

    SPF every morning

Retinal leaves skin more sensitive to daylight. SPF 30 or higher every morning, without exception — otherwise you undo the work overnight.

Try it. If it is not for you, send it back free

Retinal is a commitment — a few weeks before you see much, and a routine you have to build up to. So the risk should not be yours. Every order comes with a free 30-day return.

WHAT YOU ARE BUYING

Smoother, firmer skin — and it holds

Chosen by people who want a change they can still see in three months, not a lift that fades by lunchtime:

  • Softens the look of fine lines and creases
  • Firmer, more defined-looking skin
  • More even tone and refined texture
  • Buffered so you can keep using it — which is what actually makes it work

Questions we get asked

How soon will I see a difference?

Texture and glow usually shift first, somewhere around two to three weeks. Fine lines and firmness take longer, because retinal works by renewal rather than by coating the skin. Give it a full 8 to 12 weeks of consistent use before you judge it.

I tried retinol before and it irritated me. Will this be different?

It may well be, but do not assume it. The 0.1% dose is buffered with 1% Panthenol specifically to reduce stinging and flaking — and the build-up schedule above exists for the same reason. Start at two nights a week, not nightly. If your skin is reactive, patch test on the jaw for a few nights first.

Can I use it around my eyes?

Not up to the lash line. Stay on the orbital bone — the skin inside that is too thin for a retinal at this strength. If the eye area is your main concern, the Collagen Hydrogel Eye Patch is formulated for it.

How long does one tube last?

That depends on how much you use and how often. A pea-sized amount covers the whole face and neck, and for the first fortnight you will only be using it two or three nights a week — so a tube goes further at the start than it does later.

Can I use it with my other products?

Yes — on clean, dry skin, before your moisturiser. What to avoid is doubling up: do not use it on the same night as an exfoliating acid or a second vitamin A product.

Is it safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Vitamin A derivatives are generally avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding. We would rather lose the sale than give you the wrong answer here — please ask your doctor, and leave this one on the shelf in the meantime.

Where is it made?

Formulated and manufactured in Korea.
